A lake is an area that is filled with water and surrounded by land. Although there is no official or scientific definition, lakes differ from lagoons in that they are usually larger and deeper. The river is the main stream that fills and empties a large number of lakes. Lake Kenyir, the largest lake in Terengganu, has more than 340 islands spread over 38,000 hectares and has more than 14 waterfalls. Lake Kenyir is bordered by Kelantan from the west and Pahang to the south with a surface area of ​​260 km2.
